Being able to perform at the Nigerian Students Association at my Alma Mater University of Calgary was an opportunity to not only connect with my people but share my feeling on being considered “Canadian” without identifying with it. To always search for your roots and not forget where you come from is a big piece of learning about who you are no matter where you happen to live.
