Understanding “yesterday” is key to being able to move forward and not look down on the thins you achieved and overcome to get to where you are.
Our ancestors and families have sacrificed so much (including thing we will never know) for us to exist today.

This is not a poem asking to be free, this is a poem about living in the freedom knowing that Black woman are the blueprint of beautiful. Black women and the Blueprint for life.
